Treatment of Hyperlipidaemia (2)	

	Despite some differences in approach, the US and European guidelines essentially target the same patients for therapy. Diet is advocated initially; however, if compliance with a lipid-lowering diet fails to yield the desired results, drug therapy may also need to be initiated. 
Treatment of chylomicronaemia is geared towards prevention of the features of the chylomicronaemia syndrome.
